There are similar problems described on the Support pages von GEAR. The update that GEAR offers corresponded to the version that Drive Image installs. This driver apparently has problems from a certain number of CD-ROM drives. ![]() This behavior could be reproduced with other CD emulators and seems to be related to Drive Image. Drive Image installs an extra filter driver of a third software house (GEARAspiWDM.sys, GEAR Software) for each drive (not only for those, that actually can store data).
